This may be a little late to the party of band introductions but better late than never, right? Here comes Adventures. You may have heard of them already via some of the more hip and in-the-know music sites. Some hype is building up around them for various reasons. Nevermind the fact that Jami, Reba, and Joe from Orange Code Kids are in Adventures along with their friends Kimi and Dominic. That’s not enough to get excited about them. The music Adventures creates is what has quite a few interested and hooked. Wheras Code Orange Kids play a chaotic brand of hardcore and all things punk, Adventures is a more restrained unit in not only adhering to the punk sensibilities, but theirs is more an indie rock vibe. The music is melodic and heartfelt and the duality of Reba and Joe’s oftentimes shared vocals create a palpable sense of heartbreak. It’s that raw emotion throughout the music and sound that has people on their toes.

Adventures formed and signed with No Sleep Records just mere months after Orange Code Kids having joined the Deathwish Inc. roster. These are two completely different bands. Rightfully so as each express their varied emotions in different sounds. The debut self-titled EP from Adventures is slated to be released on September 11th and the band just recently wrapped up an East Coast tour.
