What’s Eating Gilbert (Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory) has announced a run of dates on the East Coast in April. The Here And Now (featuring Alan Day of Four Year Strong) will be along for the ride, as well as Diamond Youth on select dates. Head over to the What’s Eating Gilbert blog for ticket information, and be sure to check out Gilbert’s video blog as well. Read on for the full list of East Coast dates and venues.
Alan Day of Four Year Strong has released a Christmas song for download on his Bandcamp. Though the song is available for free, any payment made for the song will be donated to charity. Give the song a listen, and head to Day’s Bandcamp if you like what you hear. You can also read a statement from Day below.
This song is available for download for free, but if you decide to pay for it, I will be donating all of the money to a few charities I’ve supported over the years. Charities that help homeless animals, and charities that help save music programs in schools across the country. I hope you decide to help. Tis the season of giving, right? Merry Christmas :)
In a somewhat Coheed & Cambria-style move, the boys of Four Year Strong have released a comic book inspired by their song “The Infected”. The book was co-written by Tom Colella, who directed the band’s video for “Tonight We Feel Alive”, and illustrated by artist Jamie Givens. You can check out a preview of the art below; from what the 30 second clip reveals, it seems like the comic will land somewhere in the neighborhood of The Walking Dead, but with a lot more beards (and there’s no denying that The 1st Five is notoriously fond of zombies and beards). The book will be for sale on the remaining dates of the Warped Tour, as well as in the band’s webstore.
Bad Religion have announced a handful of dates in support of their new record, The Dissent of Man. They will be joined by Rise Against, who themselves have released a new record recently, and new four piece Four Year Strong. Bad Religion recently stopped by Jimmy Kimmel and performed Wrong Way Kids. You can see that performance via Jimmy Kimmel’s youtube account here. In the mean time, follow the jump for full tour dates.
Four Year Strong have announced the dates for their headlining U.S. tour this fall. They will be joined by Comeback Kid, The Wonder Years, American Fangs, and Mountain Man throughout some of the dates. Full schedule after the jump.
